- We are so excited to be able to serve a mission in the Bern, Switzerland, Institute Outreach Center. We have been dreaming of serving a mission almost since we were baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormons) in 1970. But first we had to raise eight children and send six of them on missions of their own. On a visit to Switzerland several years ago, we learned of the opportunity to serve at the Outreach Center, and Sue thought that would be a dream come true. In Fall, 2008, after attending the Alphorn Workshop in Schönried, we met the Grassli's (the then-current Outreach couple) at the Interlaken Branch. They asked if we could replace them in November, 2009, and Sue thought, "Let's give it a try!" Now, after many prayers and even more miracles, we are on our way.
We love that gorge! But you got much better pictures than we did!

ReplyDeleteI like your blog. Switzerland looks beautiful! I know you don't really care (especially now that you're on a mission) but your lawn at home is looking superb! We are enjoying having Rob and Jen in the ward! I'm excited to hear your testimonies in Swiss (German?) upon your return! Auf Wiederluege!!
