The Swiss love making things with bread dough. At Christmas time, they make little men of all different sizes and styles, called "Grittibänz." This selection was in the window of our neighborhood bakery.

- We are so excited to be able to serve a mission in the Bern, Switzerland, Institute Outreach Center. We have been dreaming of serving a mission almost since we were baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormons) in 1970. But first we had to raise eight children and send six of them on missions of their own. On a visit to Switzerland several years ago, we learned of the opportunity to serve at the Outreach Center, and Sue thought that would be a dream come true. In Fall, 2008, after attending the Alphorn Workshop in Schönried, we met the Grassli's (the then-current Outreach couple) at the Interlaken Branch. They asked if we could replace them in November, 2009, and Sue thought, "Let's give it a try!" Now, after many prayers and even more miracles, we are on our way.
