- We are so excited to be able to serve a mission in the Bern, Switzerland, Institute Outreach Center. We have been dreaming of serving a mission almost since we were baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormons) in 1970. But first we had to raise eight children and send six of them on missions of their own. On a visit to Switzerland several years ago, we learned of the opportunity to serve at the Outreach Center, and Sue thought that would be a dream come true. In Fall, 2008, after attending the Alphorn Workshop in Schönried, we met the Grassli's (the then-current Outreach couple) at the Interlaken Branch. They asked if we could replace them in November, 2009, and Sue thought, "Let's give it a try!" Now, after many prayers and even more miracles, we are on our way.
Elise and I will be following your adventure. You're very fortunate to have family to take care of your home while you're in Switzerland. There are so many little things that always need doing around a house.
ReplyDeleteWe enjoyed seeing you and meeting your family at the Schlachtfest in Newark. I'm still digesting that huge meal. Have fun in Switzerland!
