- We are so excited to be able to serve a mission in the Bern, Switzerland, Institute Outreach Center. We have been dreaming of serving a mission almost since we were baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormons) in 1970. But first we had to raise eight children and send six of them on missions of their own. On a visit to Switzerland several years ago, we learned of the opportunity to serve at the Outreach Center, and Sue thought that would be a dream come true. In Fall, 2008, after attending the Alphorn Workshop in Schönried, we met the Grassli's (the then-current Outreach couple) at the Interlaken Branch. They asked if we could replace them in November, 2009, and Sue thought, "Let's give it a try!" Now, after many prayers and even more miracles, we are on our way.
Hi Elder and Sister Fox! (Shauna Andersen here :)) It's been a while since I've seen your blog, and it's fun to catch up. What an amazing experience! Just wanted to say that our Steve (Anziano Andersen) is currently in Trento which is just a hop, skip and a jump over the alps from you. He's LOVING it! I think it will even be better when he thaws out this spring :) Burr! Hope you are well!
